OVERVIEWThe Graphic Designer will collaborate with a team of writers, editors, digital specialists, communications strategists, and project managers to provide comprehensive graphic design services to communications and marketing campaigns and projects related to the prevention of substance misuse.DUTIESDesign high-quality, engaging, and brand-consistent materials and collateral, including but not limited to reports, fact sheets, brochures, newsletters, ads, and posters, owning all aspects of production from concept to completionCreate and edit 508-compliant PowerPoint presentations, static and animated graphics, and video content for websites and social mediaConceptualize and design data visualizations and infographics that make complex, technical ideas understandable and accessibleCollaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with client/campaign goals, brand, audience, and messagingDemonstrate flexibility and adaptability to amend designs and concepts based on client and/or management feedback, and changing scope or requirementsRemain current on industry trends and best practices in design and technology, using this knowledge to make recommendations that enhance design execution and improve the user experienceOther duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a related field5 years of relevant experience with a strong portfolio of work samplesProficiency in MS PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Animate, Premier Pro, and After Effects, and working in a Windows OS environmentExperience with Section 508 Accessibility Standards in a federal settingCommunicates effectively (written and oral) at all levels of the organizationAble to manage multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail while meeting tight deadlinesCreative self-starter who thrives both independently and in a team environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with Figma for collaborative designExperience designing displays and other products for conference exhibit boothsKnowledge of HTML and JavaScriptExperience with photography and/or videography a plusPrevious work or volunteer experience in a health care or public health setting a plusHendall Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
