is seeking an experienced

Senior Project Manager

to be based in Seattle/Tacoma, WA, Anchorage, AK, or Sacramento, CA.The AECOM is the ENR-ranked #1 General Buildings firm, and our Buildings + Places Team is a multi-disciplinary group consisting of professionals across all building-related disciplines, including Architecture, MEP, Structural, Civil, Change Management, and Landscape architecture to name a few.As a leader, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for mentoring and guiding the federal design team to success. In addition to helping lead design development and review, the Senior Project Manager will also be responsible client communication, consultant coordination, and contract administration. Projects will focus on the federal sector.The successful candidate must be a licensed Architect or Engineer with strong, hands-on technical knowledge as well as proven experience leading a team through all phases of a project. The ideal Candidate will have experience managing federal design projects and competence across federal design criteria, including UFC’s, ETL’s, AFMAN’s, and AFI’s.The responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in coordinated successful execution of projects in design and constructionMaintain, develop and coordinate all aspects of the A/E practice on federal projectPrepare creative, functional and innovative designs for clientsLead and manage a design team to produce fully coordinated set of working drawings and project specificationsSupervise and mentor within a team environment. Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced architects, designers and technical staff; provide direction to help others meet objectivesWrite and coordinate winning proposals, attract new clients and retain current clients as requiredManage financial and cost control aspects of building projectsMeet with clients to discuss potential new work and/or review project requirementsCollaborate with management on preparation of project proposals; oversee design development proposals and feasibility studiesCommunicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organizationPreparation of design and contract documents, document checking, conduct construction review and contract administration throughout the duration of a projectCommunicate with construction team to provide information and solve problemsCoordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projectsAssisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :BA/BS Architecture or Engineering + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationLicensed Architect or EngineerCitizenship is required for this rolePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :More than 10 years of experience, including experience with federal programs and managing projects and peopleDirect experience managing projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)Federal government portfolio (DOD, VA, GSA, etc.)Experience with (UFC’s, ETL’s, AFMAN’s, and AFI’s.)Additional credentialing such as PMP, DBIA, and/or LEEP APExperience in developing scope, fee, and terms for proposals and change orders for interdisciplinary teams related to building design and engineering.Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activitiesExperience managing design teams through design-build project executionAbility to interact regularly and professionally with senior management and technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issuesDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesProven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverables and deadline requirementsInternally driven, self-starter, team orientated
