Position InformationTitle: Conservatory Music Education Visiting Lecturer (Temporary Employee Pool)Campus: StocktonDepartment: Conservatory of MusicPosting Number: F00771Full or Part Time: Part TimeOpen Until Filled: NoPosition DescriptionThe Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track position.Responsibilities include:Provide instruction for a total of 3-20 hours per week (depending on your course/contract).Teach Music for Children course to education majors.Design and conduct educational programs and courses of instruction.Participate in planning and review of educational programs.Recommend educational policies and degree requirements.Contribute to research activities.Participate in service as requested.Minimum QualificationsA master’s degree or equivalent in the field of specialization.Single Subject Music credential with teaching experience.Experience in elementary general music teaching and technology use.Experience in teaching literacy and music of diverse cultures.Preferred QualificationsCollege-level teaching experience.Supervisory experience in fieldwork and education programs.Interest in teaching related areas like entrepreneurship, music theory, and musicology.Doctorate or terminal degree in the field of specialization.Publications in the field of specialization.Experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion.Ability to integrate culturally responsive practices.Physical RequirementsRequires extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, and occasional walking.Work primarily in a standard classroom environment for 3-20 hours per week.Hiring Range: $6,696 to $6,996 per course.Special InstructionsThis posting is not a guarantee of an open position.
