Concrete Project Engineer - Intern Job SummaryA Project Engineer intern will assist the Project Manager and Project Superintendent with the project execution from bid to closeout. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bid package preparation and analysis, shop drawing review, material procurement, document control, quality control, meeting coordination, and project closeout.Skills, Qualifications, and Education Requirements:Critical thinking skillsSafety orientedMaintain regular and punctual attendanceKnowledge of construction/and or Ag related projects dealing with foundations, grain bins, metal buildings, concrete buildings, and millwright equipmentRead, understand, and interpret architectural drawings and specifications, scope of work, and project schedule.Produces material takeoffsProvides proper document management for all materials related to project meetings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, etc.Assists Project Manager and Superintendent on monitoring and updating construction schedulesPrepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsConducts regular and frequent jobsite visitsAssists leadership in performing job hazard analyses, promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and resolves job site hazards immediatelyPerforms other duties as required and assigned
