Several Full Time PositionsGeneral Work Description
: Duties include, but are not limited to making arrests, preparing investigative reports, operating law enforcement vehicles, communicating over radio channels, conducting interviews, pursuing suspects, loading and firing weapons, performing searches, working 12-hour shifts, mediating disputes, advising citizens, demonstrating communication skills in court, collecting evidence, processing prisoners, reading legal documents, completing required education, and other related duties. Applicants must remain focused under stressful situations and multitask.Physical Requirements
: Applicants must be able to sit and drive for extended periods, exert physical effort, walk, stand, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift moderate weight objects.Education, Training and Experience
: High school graduation, Basic Law Enforcement Training certificate. Previous law enforcement experience is recognized for salary determination. Starting annual salary is $42,577, with additional $2,000 annually for an Associate’s Degree and $4,000 for a Bachelor’s Degree.Benefits
