The Neuberger Berman Fixed Income Technology team is looking for a Python Data Engineer with proven experience in building data pipelines and visualizations. An ideal candidate would have worked in the financial industry and have a good grasp on Fixed Income asset classes and concepts.Responsibilities:Partner with Portfolio managers, Quant and Research analysts to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on their needs.Collaborate with software engineers and lead the effort to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions for projects.Conduct data warehouse model design, development, cleanse, validate datasets and set up processes for monitoring and reporting.Design and develop intuitive and engaging data visualizations using Tableau/Python, enabling stakeholders to grasp complex data insights easily.Assist data troubleshooting, data featuring and data discovery.Partner with Application Service Delivery group who have accountability for Delivery & Service Management for software deployment and support.Must be highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize work.Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends.Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent industry experience.5+ years' experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and ETL processes.Experience in developing interactive dashboards for data visualization and analysis using libraries such as Dash or Streamlit.Proficient in Python. Advanced knowledge of Pandas, NumPy and Plotly. Experience with Dash/Flask/Django/FastAPI is a plus.Proficient with SQL, Data modelling and database design.Experience with Snowflake.Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, demonstrating the ability to translate complex datasets into clear and actionable insights.Experience or knowledge of various Fixed Income instruments is good to have (e.g. U.S. Treasuries, Investment Grade, High Yield, EMD, Mortgages, Sovereign Debt / Government Bonds, and Corporate Bonds).Cloud Experience with either Azure/AWS/Google is a plus.Intellectual curiosity and passion for solving challenging problems using technology.Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment a plus.Strong desire to learn new programming languages quickly.Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.Strong sense of professional pride and individual accountability.Neuberger Berman is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
