With preliminary direction and oversight from a licensed architect, participate in project meetings extensively from Schematic design through construction administration which include conversations with user groups to understand the intended use of spaces and execute necessary space planning to ensure user/owner requirements are met by the design team; provide entire project document delivery management including but not limited to creating Revit models which include consultants model coordination, preparing contract documents for agency review, and preparing specifications for projects utilizing SpecLink Cloud Database platform; work on large replacement hospital type projects including design and coordination of departments including Sterile processing, Cancer center, Mother-Baby care, Diagnostic care, and emergency department; organize and coordinate meetings with project owners, contractors, and design team on project from design through construction; use Procore project management software to document and respond to RFIs, ASIs, Submittals, and Addendums; monitor project deadlines and schedules to ensure project stays on track with reasonable deviations; perform code reviews of various standards to ensure project compliance from preliminary design through construction completion; conduct feasibility studies with project team to make certain owner’s design requirements can be met with selected project sites and provide detailed layout studies to help owner visualize the future space; assist with implementation of sustainable initiatives on projects along with other initiatives to make sure project aligns with goals associated with the organization; utilize AutoCAD as required for various design coordination and project documentation purposes. Create CAD backgrounds for contractor’s and consultant’s use; produce various schematic layouts for commercial and residential project types; prepare masterplan layouts and landscape layouts for various residential development projects; assist in preparing contract documents for state and local agency review and approval along with addressing any review or backcheck comments; develop design studies exploring various special planning options for owner/end-user reviews; develop 3D renderings using Enscape for design presentations and marketing use; use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create design proposal documents; engage in projects with school districts and coordinate various district standards and requirements throughout construction; collaborate on various structural retrofit projects involving complexities of existing structures, material restrictions, and availability to match existing building finishes and extensive coordination with other design disciplines; exercise BIM 360 experience on multiple projects for project team and document management; set up projects for review and project coordination using Revizto and utilize the platform for review of project issues with entire design and consultant team; utilize Revit extensively for document preparation from SD through CA phases of projects; create sketches for design team meetings and project coordination using Bluebeam; collaborate with interior designers to select appropriate finishes for interior spaces from conceptual stages of projects through construction completion; manage and coordinate project team members along with engineering consultants to prepare final bid sets; prepare functional analysis documents for agency review to submit during initial project review and approval phase; lead charrettes with end-users to solidify schematic plans during preliminary design phases of projects; create hand sketches to communicate design intent and brainstorm ideas with other project team members within and outside the organization; visit the site periodically during construction, make field observation reports, and coordinate/carry out punch reviews of project construction.
