To build Lakers brand affinity and the future fan pipeline by creating daily, engaging team content and leveraging digital platforms, while also helping other departments reach fans and publish their content via digital platforms.Position Summary:

This position serves as in-house junior graphic designer, developing visual concepts for the Marketing department and any other internal department needing assistance, while maintaining the Lakers brand look and feel.Key Metrics Used To Evaluate Performance

Quality of graphics createdAmount and timeliness of projects and jobs completedSatisfaction feedback from other internal departmentsEssential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities)

Create assets to be used on Lakers.com, social channels, and emailProvide event support (e.g. invitations, signage)Design promotional material (e.g. posters, flyers, postcards, etc.)Serve needs of multiple departments while maintaining visual integrity of the brandUp to 50% of time spent on projects for Corporate Partnerships and Ticketing departmentsAssist with event photography (documenting, editing, and posting all aspects of Lakers and South Bay Lakers game days and other off-site events)Photograph select Lakers events (Community Relations, South Bay Lakers, etc.)Sourcing photography, retouching, and resizing when neededAssist with photo shoots, as neededEducation (Required/ Preferred)

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/Fine Arts/Film/Media, or a related field (required)Previous Experience

A minimum of one to three (1-3) years working in graphic designExperience with photo editing and manipulation of graphics for sponsor mockups and marketing presentationsPrevious experience in social content creation, advertising, sports, or entertainment is preferredTechnology Capabilities

Adobe Creative SuiteAfter Effects, Figma is a plusMicrosoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint & Windows)Canon photography equipmentKnowledge, Skills, Abilities

Highly organized, motivated and able to prioritize and multi-task under the pressure of deadlinesStrong understanding of graphic design principles, methods and practices, as well as all phases of design, production, and delivery for web, electronic and print materialsA fundamental understanding of layout, typography, and photography for print and webKnowledge of current design trends and best practicesKnowledge of production for collateral including resolution, sizes and file typesAbility to ensure consistent branding standardsAbility to use production techniques such as color correcting and create clipping paths to prepare filesAbility to give and take design directionExcellent grammatical, spelling, proofreading abilitiesAble to come up with original ideas for designs, as well as integrate ideas from othersStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a teamKnowledge of basketball (preferred)Experience in event photography (preferred)Previous experience working with celebrities or professional sports players (preferred)Physical Demands

Hybrid schedule, 2 days on-site. This position requires constant attention due to the continuous nature of the news cycle. Regular office hours (9am- 5:30pm M-F), must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays to complete deadlines as needed.The pay for this role is $67,000.
