Applicant must possess a valid Connecticut driver’s license before graduation from the Police Academy.Applicant must be a non-smoker.Applicants must have at least 60 college credits or 2 years of full active military duty.Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.Applicant must be 21 years old by the time of appointment.Applicant must have no felony convictions.Applicant must have no domestic violence convictions.Applicant must have no A or B Misdemeanor convictions.Applicant must not have had a motor vehicle conviction for Evading Responsibility or Operating under the influence of Alcohol/Drugs or both.IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, ENTRY-LEVEL APPLICANTS MUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE:
Valid CHIP card.CPCA entry-level written examination score of 70% or better.The Trumbull P.D. Oral Exam - Next scheduled Exam is Thursday, August 1, 2024.A drug screening test.A psychological test.A complete medical examination.An intense and thorough background examination.A police commission review board.A field training probationary period.Comply with the Trumbull P.D. Tattoo Policy, which includes prohibiting visible tattoos on the hands, neck, face, or head.EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
Current starting salary is $67,389, increases to $94,450 after five years.Generous medical benefits.Life insurance.
