This individual will work closely with our securities leadership to deliver a best-in-class securities trading and portfolio management experience to our clients. The role of Product Manager is pivotal in driving both customer-facing and back-office solutions, better meeting the needs of clients by executing on the product vision. You will provide product leadership throughout the software development life-cycle, including product launch and go-to-market. This position is on-site and located at our HQ in San Diego, CA.ResponsibilitiesWork with business partners to define and document workflows, process maps, and data flows to illuminate needed changes to accomplish project objectivesWrite user stories defining specific requirements and specify the acceptance criteria for each user storyServe as the product owner for the Scrum team(s), directly participating in Sprint planning activities and providing regular feedback to the development teamEnsure operating and support structures are in place for the product (including documentation, training, and staffing)Primarily responsible for developing user stories and development requirements based on use cases and business requirementsWork closely with the product management team and the technical subject matter experts to identify optimal solutions to business problems and customer use casesSynthesize inputs from multiple sources and translate those into clearly articulated requirements for the software engineers to buildWork independentlyBuild consensus when there are differing opinions and drive projects forward to meet key milestone datesGood understanding of the software development process and be able to quickly identify blockers, requirement gaps, and other constraints, as well as help lead the team to overcome these impedimentsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field2+ years' developing technical requirements for technology projectsExperience using or working with self-directed trading brokerages such as: Webull, Robinhood, Schwab Investments, Fidelity, etc.Knowledge of the securities space and with knowledge around mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, margin trading, options trading, etc.Expertise with issue and development tracking software such as Microsoft DevOps or JiraAgile / Scrum environmentClarify ambiguous objectives by breaking projects down into component piecesExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate both strategically and technicallyProven experience bringing disparate opinions together across multiple stakeholder groupsPro-actively identify potential issues and escalate as neededObject-oriented design and coding best practices across a variety of platformsManage multiple projects and deliver quality outcomes within short time framesWork independently with little supervision while meeting aggressive timelinessAnalyze and assess current processes to define, document, and implement improvementsAxos Employee Benefits May Include:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsurancePaid Sick Leave, 3 weeks’ Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year)HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings PlanEmployee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed TradingAbout AxosBorn digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
