SCCU accountsPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.Refine and automate business processes, track issues, and document changes.Assist developers with optimizing application performance across the entire SQL landscapeShare domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.Strong knowledge of backup technologies, high availability, and disaster recovery solutionsAct as a SQL subject matter expert to establish policies, best practices, and share knowledge at all levels within the organization.Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Training:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technology related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.Prior Experience:

3-5 years prior experience as an MS-SQL Server DBA with responsibility for installing, configuring, and maintaining multiple production SQL Server requiredAdditional required experience is below:

2- 4 years of experience monitoring, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving database performance issues, including performance tuning and optimization.2-4 years of experience in software development using Microsoft SQL Server 2014 and later, T-SQL and T-SQL language (queries, views, procedures), SQL Server database design, stored procedure design, and implementation.Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, etc.Experience in SSIS, SSAS, and/or SSRS required.Data Analysis/data warehousing experience required.Previous experience with Oracle Database strongly preferred.

Hours:

Standard hours M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm; Must have the ability to work holidays, weekends or extended hours to effectively support the database operations.
