Job Description

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team in Otolaryngology at our Abington and TJU locations (split coverage). The first 90 days of orientation will occur at our Wilmington campus. This position will care for the full range of pediatric patients requiring diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of conditions involving ears, nose, and throat disorders. The outpatient opportunity provides the successful candidate with the ability to perform a wide spectrum of care in a quiet location with private office space, experienced and friendly nurses and medical assistants and an efficient patient flow. The provider will work in collaboration with physicians to assist with the overall care of the patients in Otolaryngology.

Essential FunctionsPerform office-based procedures under the supervision of an attending physician, and may include removal of cerumen, assisting with flexible fiberoptic laryngoscopy, etc.Triage and respond to phone calls from referring physician, patients and their families, allied health professionals, insurance companies, etc. regarding patient care.Perform history and physical examinations, write clinical notes, and enter patient information and prescriptions into an electronic medical records system.Effectively communicate with the health care team, patients, and family members to consult, refer, and coordinate patient care and other service issues.Requirements

Current appropriate national certification as a Pediatric Nurse PractitionerClear and active license as a RN & APRN in the states of PA & Delaware (or compact state)Current AHA BLS certification1+years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider preferred
