Business Development Manager - Agriculture

ASI Corp is seeking an aggressive and goal-oriented Business Development Manager (focus on agriculture sector) in our Chicago (Itasca, IL) office. A Business Development Manager is to develop and execute sales strategies to increase current sales revenue, customer base and expand into new markets.

Responsibilities:
Proactively involved in new customer recruitment and market development with vendor and sales teamBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective dealersPresent product demonstrations and articulate the value proposition of agricultural technology solutions to prospective clientsConduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-sellingProvide technical guidance and assistance to clients regarding the integration, implementation, and usage of technology solutionsDevelop a deep understanding of the features, functionalities, and applications of agricultural autonomous technology servicesMarket research, including understanding customers and competitors in the agricultural field, to define the sales and marketing strategy betterTraining sales team as well as resellers base as a subject matter expertWork closely with vendor's cross-functioning teams, plan and drive the execution of sales, after-sales service, marketing, training, and logisticsManage purchase, sales, and inventory with vendors, including system operation and data management.Meet and beat vendor expectations with a satisfactory level of performanceRequirement:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Agriculture, Business, or a related fieldMinimum two years of experience in agricultural equipment sales or product managementAgricultural-related work experience and channel resources (such as previous John Deere Dealer network connections) are a great plusProven experience in business development/sales, preferably in the agricultural or technology sectorMust be able to travel at least 75%; a valid driver's license is requiredExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesStrong interest in UAV/drones; agriculture or enterprise UAV experience preferred
