Job DescriptionMetropolitan Police Department Officers (MPD) will provide protective services for the patients, families, staff, and property of Children's National Health System (CNHS). As directed, CNHS MPD Officers respond to emergency situations while enforcing the established hospital policies and in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia. Department personnel must maintain a tactful and courteous demeanor in the exercising of duties. Will perform access control using state of the art technology in order to ensure the safety of patients. Will perform security patrols of entire location assigned to proactively identify risks to the hospital. The primary areas of responsibilities will be the Emergency Departments. Frequently works with medical professionals in advancement of patient safety. Support CNHS Special Police Officers with detention and/or arrest of individuals in violation of the laws of the District of Columbia. QualificationsMinimum EducationHigh School Diploma or GED (Required)
Minimum Work Experience2 years As a police officer in good standing with the Metropolitan Police Department in the District of Columbia. (Required)
