This
Administrative Specialist
will provide support to Senior Leadership, coordinating the management and administrative operations with the primary responsibility being to leadership. Generally, provides high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings for the most senior executives, and all functional duties are performed independently. Specific support activities may include, but are not limited to:Prepare correspondence for Senior Leadership signature, as well as reports, meeting agendas, and summaries and maintains related files and records.Provide comprehensive executive administrative assistance to the senior leadership to aid in implementing the Agency’s programs.Maintain control over the senior leadership calendar with the authority to make time commitments.In the absence of the senior leadership ensures that requests for action or information that would usually receive the senior leadership’s attention are directed to appropriate staff personnel for response.Support highly complex and confidential office duties.Coordinate travel arrangements for senior leadership.Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and to devise the most appropriate manner for handling the material.In addition to the qualifications listed above, the contractor employees shall at a minimum be very proficient in the use of the following software:Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat Professional.Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and three (3) years’ experience, or Associate’s degree in a related field with eight (8) years of related experience.In addition, this individual must have undergone a current background investigation which has been favorably adjudicated for DHS suitability and Secret security.
