Loader Operator

Heidelberg Materials North America operates more than 450 locations with approximately 9,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada.What You'll Get To DoThe Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The Loader Operator must also maintain all equipment as directed per policies, procedures, and operator manuals.Responsible for the operation of front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers and to load trucks or railcars.Verify amount of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to ensure adequate quantity and quality of raw materials is maintained.Perform routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.Participate in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards.Ensure assigned established performance indicators are met.Work toward improvement of the assigned plant and surrounding area.Follow established environmental procedures to ensure that the plant for which he/she is working is in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements.Participate in ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment.Work with plant manager, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and may recommend solutions to improve performance.May haul cement and/or additives from storage area in bulk or bags.Adhere to all Heidelberg Materials and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.Meet or exceed company safety standards.Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
