The Catering Manager is responsible for managing and growing catering sales in their assigned trade area through the development and execution of sales plans that meet business objectives. The position is required to contribute to the overall catering success of the off-premises business. The position will work closely with Field Operations and Franchisees to promote and develop various catering sales projects. Additionally, this individual must be knowledgeable on all products, to educate guests on catering and meet our standards of quality and excellence. With success as the goal, this individual will strive to promote, build client relationships, and secure sales.

Essential Functions:Manage and drive the catering category across B2C and B2B channelsMaintain current and detailed working knowledge of the Subway catering program, including menus, packaging, pricing tiers, sales channels, and related franchisee-facing technology platformsDevelops new accounts, maintains existing accounts, and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goalsGenerate sales opportunities through lead follow-up and unsolicited calls, emails, or site-visitsDevelop and maintain awareness of key competitor catering offerings within trade areaRouting qualified opportunities to the franchisee when appropriateIdentify and attend relevant community meetings and manage organization relationshipsProvide ongoing training, and support catering best practices for restaurants within trade areaRecommend enhancements and changes to current products and programs based on observed trends that could impact sales and profitsDevelop local sales plans to ensure catering growthPromote ongoing communication of catering sales related projects and initiatives to FranchiseesPresent weekly lead reporting, scheduled appointments and sales trackingSchedule and host client meetings or sponsored luncheonsTravel as needed between home office, restaurants, and potential catering sales locationsBuilds positive relationships with guests, neighboring businesses, corporate, and Team Members.Enter, manage, and route catering orders to appropriate restaurantsMaintain excellent communication and rapport with restaurants in assigned marketsFollow-up with guests post-order and assist with restaurant coaching and feedbackKnowledgeable on products and preparationSkills and Abilities required:Bachelor’s degree requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Knowledge of catering within the food & beverage service industry, restaurant operations3-5 years off-premises sales/catering sales experienceAbility to travel as needed (overnight travel is occasional/not common)Research Skills: Utilize a variety of resources to complete a research assignment and be able to summarize and present your findingsDelivery promotional development: Navigate and anticipate variables that come with every project through broad knowledge of cateringMust have excellent customer service skills, exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness.The Company is only considering applicants who are currently authorized to work in the country the position is based.
