The Center for Healthcare Delivery Science (CHDS) at Nemours Children's Health invites applications for a
Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program . Healthcare delivery science is the application of scientific methods and principles to the analysis of variables and processes that affect the delivery, safety, outcomes, cost, quality, and value of pediatric healthcare. We are seeking individuals interested in clinical research who aspire to academic research careers.CHDS is led by Drs. Anne Kazak, Melissa Alderfer, and Susana Patton. Center faculty include Drs. Kamyar Arasteh, Kimberly Canter, J.J. Cutuli, Paul Enlow, Danielle Hatchimonji, Aimee Hildenbrand, Shreela Palit, Ly Phan, Jessica Pierce, Julia Price, Steven Reader, Corinna Schultz, Rachel Skocypec, Erica Sood, and Rachel Wasserman. CHDS spans the Nemours Enterprise with locations in Delaware and Florida.The CHDS fellowships are two years and are open to individuals from a variety of backgrounds (e.g., psychology, nursing, public health). For 2024-2026, we have two fellowship positions:
one in Wilmington, DE and one in Jacksonville, FL . The fellows would have a primary research mentor within CHDS, and their area of focus would be determined based on mutual interests. Potential research areas may include, but are not limited to: chronic pain, oncology, neuromuscular disorders, digital health, psychosocial interventions, and health disparities.Fellows have the opportunity to:Participate in all aspects of clinical research including project planning, recruitment and data collection, manualized treatment development and delivery, data management and analyses, and manuscript preparation.Write and submit grant applications with mentorship, including the opportunity to apply for internal fellowship project funding.Attend educational sessions including biomedical research presentations, pediatric grand rounds, and CHDS-based research meetings and didactics.Become part of a cohort of postdoctoral fellows across Nemours Children's Health.Receive supervised clinical training and accrue hours needed for licensure (if applicable).Nemours offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
