Job SummaryAs a Microsoft D365 FnO software development engineer, you will be involved in the production and delivery of the Finance and Operations solutions within the platform, from analysis, design, and delivery to deployment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions along with their scrum team. The role also requires expertise in Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Pages, along with a deep understanding of business processes. This position will work with product owners, technical teams, and various SHI departments to ensure the successful implementation of F&O solutions.

This position is required to report to the SHI Austin, TX or SHI Somerset, NJ office location as determined by SHI management.

ResponsibilitiesInclude, but are not limited to:

Produce clean, efficient code based on business specifications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop solutions.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring clarity and feasibility.

Adhere to best development practices for solution design and contribute to decision-making processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders to address any post-deployment issues and optimize functional performance.

Manages and resolves issues, defects, and change requests

Gather and evaluate user feedback along with the scrum team

Recommend and execute improvements

Create technical documentation for reference and reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred

2+ years software development engineering, with a focus on D365 FnO

Current Dynamics 365 certifications (FnO Preferred)

Experience with 3rd party products or technologies (XRMToolBox, XRMToolKit)

Experience developing in a continuous integration environment (ALM strategy) using source code control, automated testing, and build automation

Experience with Agile development methodology and tools (Azure DevOps/Jira)

Required Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional team

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Core Development Skills: C#, SQL, .Net, D365, CRM SDK, CRM Plugins, JSON, REST API, PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate (formally known as Flow)

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies D365/Dataverse (tool configuration and customizations) Model Driven / Canvas Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint

Expert knowledge of Microsoft D365 FnO

Experience in using hybrid, Agile methodologies

Experience leveraging diagramming tools such as LucidChart or Microsoft Visio

Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving software solutions

Preferred Skills:

Low-code/no-code development mindset

Strong understanding of Agile practices, including Scrum

Use of Microsoft Power Platform CoE toolkit to set up standards, consistency, and governance

Experience migrating on-prem AX to a cloud-based D365 platform

Experience with iterative and test-driven development practices

Unique Requirements

Travel to approved conferences or events as needed, up to 10%

Additional Information

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $70,000 - $140,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
