ABOUT THE POSITION:

Speedway Motorsports is seeking a Manager or Director, Marketing to play an integral role in leading our organization by overseeing the marketing function at the speedways within Speedway Motorsports.

The ideal candidate should be a proactive self-starter who is passionate about their duties and committed to achieving excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead metric: Product Sales

Protect and maintain the Bristol Motor Speedway brand while focusing on ticket sales, sponsorship sales, and brand awareness

Serve as the leader of the Marketing function

Collaborate with Communications, Events, and Ticketing leaders, as well as the VP of Marketing and speedway General Manager, to develop and utilize business processes and marketing templates

Develop marketing campaigns to enhance event attendance and drive revenue

Manage marketing resources including team members, internships, budgets, and third-party agencies

Utilize consumer insights to measure and improve marketing campaign effectiveness

Collaborate with Ticketing to enhance customer information and ticket purchase processes

Oversee paid media strategy and all media buying activities

Manage various media channels such as TV, radio, out-of-home display, and digital advertising

Create and execute marketing and PR strategies, ticket promotions, and sponsorship activations

Identify and share best practices across speedways

Provide guidance to track marketing personnel

Develop marketing plans for key user groups and renewal/retention efforts

Improve customer experience based on data for customer acquisition and retention

Coordinate marketing and PR efforts with Speedway and NASCAR

Lead, train, and mentor direct reports

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

5-7 years of success in managing brands and marketing campaigns

3-5 years of experience in media strategy, media buying, and trade contracts

Ability to work collaboratively across the organization

Commitment to Speedway Motorsports Principles

Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and analytical skills

Strategic thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel
