About the Role
The Gap Platform Photo Studio is searching for an experienced and accomplished On-Figure Apparel Stylist to function as a direct conduit with our brand partners in the elevation and execution of On-Figure Product Photography with a high level of competency, proficiency, and efficiency. This role will be responsible for crafting elevated looks within a high-volume photo production operation, consistently delivering an elevated/editorial look and feel to the product being featured, creating content that connects our customers with the unique experiences of our brands. While this role will report into and partner with the Sr. Manager of Styling Operations, they will be assigned to focus on one of our brand partners production needs, engaging with key brand stakeholders in areas related to the brand visual aesthetics necessary to drive consistency in the creation of branded product photography assets. Leveraging their previous on-set expertise, this candidate will bring their extensive creative flexibility and adaptability to bare allowing them to achieve the creative consistency and volume goals that come within a production environment. This role will contribute to improving processes for studio performance against operational metrics and budget while holding and elevating the creative vision of the brand without sacrificing brand creativity and quality. In this role you will innovate ways to articulate the look and feel of new categories or initiatives while following new processes and provide feedback to ensure successful implementation.
What You'll Do
Produce the highest quality product experiences for Gap.
Execute elevated and dynamic On-Figure product styling (from pre-style out through production) consistent with brands styling point of view; creating superior quality images that achieve our brand partners intended digital customer experience.Work in the studio under direction of the Senior Manager, Styling Operations while functioning independently alongside Account Managers, Art Directors, and Photographers to capture digital images of their brands products at scale.Understand marketing and merchandising seasonal objectives/visual direction to reflect these visual cues throughout the production of assets.Manage assistant stylists on set to achieve and maintain the pace necessary to achieve production goals.Work closely with the Senior Manager, Styling Operations to identify new ways of working that will ensure agility and flexibility while maintaining or exceeding production goals. Accomplishing this through strong partnership with manager, account managers, photographers, art directors, product coordinator and sample managers to ensure production expectations are met while achieving creative consistency.Shares responsibility for leading the on-set team through the accurate completion of daily shot goals as established by the Account Management team, ensuring daily workload is completed within SLA - raise red flags when in jeopardy, working with Account Managers and studio leadership to resolve roadblocks.Proactively identify challenges in workflow or process and use critical thinking to provide Sr. Manager, Styling Operations with potential solutions and ensure creation of all process documentation.Maintain cross-functional relationships with studio operational partners; functioning equally well as part of a team, or independently; delivering on the operational strategy.Proven record of accomplishment and experience as a lead on-figure photo stylist, with editorial, campaign, and product on-figure styling experienceDemonstrated understanding of proportion, fashion & trend; and the ability to apply this understanding to their everyday workDemonstrated experience in translating high-level brand creative briefs into styled out full editorial looks for special high visibility mini marketing shootsProven record of accomplishment and experience in commercial photography styling techniques and trendsExperience working in a high-volume photo production environmentComfortable working with industry standard photography production applications and toolsExperienced with a variety of photography production and general business computer applicationsDemonstrated decision making skills necessary to deliver multiple projects with competing deadlines; detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivatedProven record of accomplishment of on-set collaboration with diverse teams
Who You Are
Minimum 5 years' experience in hi-volume commercial fashion studioMinimum 3 years' experience working as a commercial On-Figure fashion stylistProven record of accomplishment and experience as a lead on-figure photo stylist, with editorial, campaign, and product on-figure styling experienceDemonstrated understanding of proportion, fashion & trend; and the ability to apply this understanding to their everyday workDemonstrated experience in translating high-level brand creative briefs into styled out full editorial looks for special high visibility mini marketing shootsProven record of accomplishment and experience in commercial photography styling techniques and trendsExperience working in a high-volume photo production environmentComfortable working with industry standard photography production applications and toolsExperienced with a variety of photography production and general business computer applicationsDemonstrated decision making skills necessary to deliver multiple projects with competing deadlines; detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivatedProven record of accomplishment of on-set collaboration with diverse teamsAbility to work in a constantly changing, fast paced, team player e-commerce settingAbility to communicate effectively and collaborate with other team membersExceptional work ethic and attention to detailDemonstrated ability to manage high volumes of workflow including prioritization, planning, and task delegation under tight deadlinesStrong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlinesObsession with delighting customers
