The Videographer is passionate about storytelling through visual media, excels in both filming and video editing, and is adept at producing compelling content, especially for use on social media. The Videographer is responsible for capturing and editing footage, creating attention-grabbing final products, and contributing to the overall success of our multimedia projects. The quality of video output is a critical component of this position. This role has an uninhibited passion for creating footage that is visually interesting and compelling to the viewer.

Job Responsibilities

Comprehends creative briefs and scripts to determine the purpose of a video, the content needs, and develops a strategy and creative approach to accomplish those goals through specific visual, animation, and editing treatments that result in a cohesive story.

Determines the overarching theme and mood of a project and the specific shots necessary to convey that mood. Plans, scouts, and reserves shoot locations.

Films high-quality footage in various settings, including broadcast studio environments, patient homes, and offsite locations.

Operates cameras for recording video footage, captures/imports media, organizes raw media, edits footage, and sound files, creates and inserts static and motion graphics, titling, adds music/voice-over/sound effects, and organizes and archives project media.

Designs custom videos and crafts educational stories for use in promo videos, explainer videos, social media stories, live shoots, documentaries, and thought leadership interviews that are both informative and entertaining.

Utilizes strong set lighting and audio recording skills using lav mics and teleprompter.

Is highly familiar with social media and creating short-form videos for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Embraces new challenges and experiments with new formats while remaining true to the brand and best practices.

Works with high-level executives.

Employs superior written and verbal communication skills, and provides effective advice, counsel, and coaching to senior leaders as well as peers.

May perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Experience - Three years of experience shooting on set and editing videos on short timelines for an in-house marketing department or agency

Education - Bachelor's degree in media, videography, journalism, or another related field with a strong emphasis on storytelling

Additional Requirements - Must provide a portfolio of video projects.
