You will ensure the operating room is adequately prepared for procedures and act as a preceptor for other techs as needed.Responsibilities:Scrub Level III procedures (total joint replacements, complex orthopedic, neuro and spine procedures, peripheral vascular).Formulate and update protocols for specialty procedures.Work in conjunction with the RN service specialist to create and update existing preference cards and act as a liaison for surgeons in the implementation of new products and equipment.Build relationships with sales reps to ensure proper equipment and supplies are available.Manage new and existing instruments and supplies necessary for specialty procedures.Assist in coordinating repairs of specific equipment and create and organize specialty carts.Assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-stocked/organized, and safe patient care environment.Qualifications:American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent required.
