MobicoGroup .Job Description:The Assistant Maintenance Manager will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for the management and coordination of maintenance for a fleet of commercial passenger vehicles. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will own the scheduling and review of all vehicle maintenance with in-house and 3rd party maintenance providers, while reviewing all repair details and costs. Included with the maintenance will be control of roadside response efforts and overseeing of all regulatory compliance inspections of the organization's fleet.Duties and Responsibilities:Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs (e.g. adjust/test steering, electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions and oil, temperature, gas regulating components, adjust/test/rebuild engines etc.) and related assigned duties within qualification level, in accordance with all relevant Federal, State/Provincial, and local guidelines and requirementsOversee and comply with local NELLC maintenance and safety SOPs, locally applicable public authority legislation, regulation, and standards, ensuring that maintenance staff follow themUtilize and supervise the local use of NELLC's EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) ERP application, and maintenance facility staff to record and track local maintenance work orders and parts inventory.Manage preventive maintenance and “unscheduled” repairs for the vehicles serviced by this facility.Represent the maintenance activity at the local level in its interaction, communication, and coordination of activities with other local operations functions: driver care, route operations, and customer careSupervise the maintenance staff.Skills Required and Physical Demands:Experience with compliance with the local applicable DOT compliance of Med/Heavy TrucksPrefer ASE Certification as a Master Automotive Technician and/or a Master Truck TechnicianMicrosoft Office with robust experience in ExcelStrong electronic filing, documentation tracking, and organizational skillsAttention to detail and consistent formatting.Self-Motivated and driven problem solverMultiple years’ experience in transportation, encourage passenger transportation historyStrong verbal and written communication skillsWork experience with mechanical background and aptitudeAdditional skills and physical demands may applyEducation and Qualifications:Hard requirements5 years’ experience with fleet management companyPreferred requirementsBachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, Logistics, and/or Transportation.EEOCNational Express is an equal opportunity employer.
