$37.00 - $42.00 / hourDescriptionArellano Associates (AA) is a specialized public outreach and communications consulting firm focusing on public infrastructure, transportation, and community planning programs throughout Southern California and beyond.The Graphic Designer is a full-time position, which performs creative, technical and marketing tasks for public outreach, stakeholder engagement, project management and business development. This position includes public and direct client interaction as well as in-house development for printed collateral including posters, flyers, and FAQs, as well as marketing, e-communications, branding, websites, videography/photography, and social media needs as directed by project leadership.This is a mid-level position with opportunities for ongoing growth within the company.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding of overall creative and media industry trends and how to apply these standards in tandem with agency and project specific branding guidelines.Creating written and graphical content for clients and internal marketing campaigns and public outreach programs, including project branding, social media, websites, publications, flyers, newsletters, advertisements, and any other form of electronic media or collateral material.Creating videos and animations for client outreach programs, project branding, and internal marketing campaigns. This includes executing and/or supervising videography, photography, and post-production tasks.Initiating and overseeing the development and revisions of project content, including branding, key messages, templates, presentations, e-communication, websites, videos, display boards/exhibits, social media content, and traffic advisories/construction alerts.Supervising junior staff in day-to-day performance of project tasks within allotted time frame and budget parameters, and providing work product quality control.Establishing protocols and trainings of innovation-related services to AA managers and project teams.Assisting with proposal development, including template designs, qualification development, scope write-ups, and budget information.Skills, Knowledge And ExpertiseHave mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Especially Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere), Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive/Sharepoint, Email Marketing (Constant Contact), Website development (WIX, Squarespace).Creative problem-solver able to collaborate with multiple clients and team members.Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multi-task in a dynamic environment.Enthusiastic in working with the public.Able to manage and develop public outreach campaigns that can be implemented via social media, websites or other forms of e-communication.Experience with mapping and GIS platforms and social media platforms is a plus.Minimum Requirements3-7 years of experience in graphic design, campaign marketing, website development, videography, and/or a related discipline.Bachelor's Degree (highly preferred), Master's Degree (preferred).
