Position Title: Temporary Pool-Student Support Services Professional TutorFull-time or Part-time: Part TimeDepartment: Temporary PoolsPosting Number: 0401181SHRA/EHRA: SHRAJob Category: TemporaryHiring Range: $10.00 - $13.00 per hourDescription of primary duties and responsibilities:Provide individual, small group and on-line academic support to individuals in the Student Support Services Program.Develop a full working knowledge of academic skills development materials and strategies.Meet with Coordinator to plan appropriate academic services for students.Assist Coordinator with Peer Tutor Training activities and Tutee workshops.Participate in program’s staff meetings and professional development training sessions.Perform other duties consistent with the position of a professional tutor.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in the content area or a related subject area.Knowledge skills and abilities:Flexibility with regard to work environmentOpen to training and skills developmentAbility to work with students one-on-one and in small groups
