The primary function of the

Body Shop Technician

is to perform major and minor collision repair on a variety of different trucks and truck equipment. Repairs include diagnostic procedures and maintenance such as Cab & Sheet Metal Repair, Composite Repair, Bonding, Surface Preparation, Fiberglass Repair, Alignment, and Welding.Essential Responsibilities:Inspect vehicles for damage.Determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.Routinely use computerized equipment and specialized tooling.Repair body to factory or customer specifications.Remove and replace damaged parts with power and hand tools.Fill cracks and depressions.Perform cosmetic repairs.Routinely use computerized equipment and specialized tooling.Accurately records time, cause, and correction on Repair Orders.Participate and complete technical training and professional development.RequirementsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A current Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Sufficient manual dexterity to operate office equipment (or operate a PC), mechanical tools such as wrenches, sockets, grips, air tools, and other basic shop tools.Ability to climb ladders.Ability requires a person to bend, twist, squat, reach to perform tasks on truck components.Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs – 150 lbs. unassisted.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate due to tools and engine noise.This position has an immediate opening start date and will allow for the proper notice for an existing employer.
