Reporting to the Director of Recruitment and Marketing in the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering’s Marketing and Communications Office, we are seeking an Associate Director of Student Recruitment/GELL who will serve as the primary student recruitment strategist for the school’s graduate programs. The Associate Director will establish a metrics-based strategy to roll-up to the school’s overall recruitment goals and build relationships with department heads, internal leadership, and external partners to create strong pipelines for student recruitment. Additionally, they will attend conferences and events to recruit students and support school-wide brand awareness efforts.Specific Duties & Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a recruitment strategy for online engineering master’s, graduate certificates, doctorate programs, and pre-college programs.Research and understand current programmatic and recruiting trends among leading engineering master’s programs.Collaborate with the recruitment team to manage marketing communications and outreach plans.Liaise with program chairs to understand recruitment goals and build measurable tactics.Collect recruitment and enrollment data to track results and analyze strategies.Lead recruitment efforts and contribute to nurture strategies through the enrollment funnel.Collaborate with the diversity team on project-specific programs and grassroots initiatives.Source, identify, and plan logistics for recruiting fairs and events.Plan and execute recruitment events for prospective students and support enrollment initiatives.Promote the Whiting School’s graduate programs through partnerships and professional organizations.Travel domestically for recruitment events.Create an alumni engagement ambassador program.Provide high-quality customer service to meet recruitment and enrollment needs.Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Active knowledge of applicant life-cycle data strategies and marketing recruitment best practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.Proficiency in Zoom, MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.Experience in recruitment or communications in an educational institution or related field.Willingness to formulate new recruitment strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current efforts.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a related field.Five years of related experience.Preferred Qualifications:Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or Public Relations.Six to eight years of related experience in higher education or related field.Ability to work collegially in a team environment and independently as a transformative leader.
