$26Position SummaryAssist and support the licensed clinical care team members by providing phlebotomy services in an ambulatory care environment. Responsible for the performance of multiple duties relating to specimen collection and handling in a medical office setting.Essential Function and Responsibilities of the JobCommunicate effectively and courteously.Address customers using eye contact in a polite, expedient, and helpful tone of voice.Continually update knowledge to provide current and accurate information to those requesting assistance.Address and calm potentially tense situations.Make informed and educated decisions with little notice and minimal supervisor involvement.Act in a responsible and trustworthy manner at all times.Take responsibility when supervision is not available.Identify chain of command and utilize resources effectively by researching and resolving problems, situations and challenges routinely encountered during the work shift.Be at work and be on time.Follow company policies, procedures and directives.Interact in a positive and constructive manner.Prioritize and multitask.Includes every other weekend, holidays and additional shifts during the weekdaysPlacement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. for more information about our Benefits and Rewards.Minimum RequirementsQualifications/Work ExperienceEducation/License/CertificationHigh School graduate or equivalent preferredCurrent American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support CardCurrent certification as a Phlebotomist Technician by the State of California2+ years of previous experience performing venipuncture on hospital-based patient populations is preferred.Certificate from Accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred.Knowledge of specimen collection techniques, equipment, and specimen handling is required
