*Multiple positions, available at our Farmington & Watkins Glen Clinics*Job Summary:
Provide direct services to FLACRA’s clients via individual, family, and group counseling. In addition to the direct service duties, the Senior Counselor provides clinical backup to the Outpatient Clinic Director. The Senior Counselor, under the direction of the Team Manager, assesses and develops quality care for clients by supporting and supervising the FLACRA counseling staff.Must Have Qualifications & Skills:3 years of any combination of education and supervisory experience in health and human servicesWilling to pursue QHP credentialsKnowledge of the local behavioral health systemAbility to multi-taskDemonstrates composure in challenging situationsDuties:Responsible for providing direct diagnostic evaluative services to clients referred to this Agency by various sources. Assess clients' primary and secondary diagnoses and determine the need for further counseling.Provide identified clients with direct therapeutic services through individual, conjoint, family, and/or group therapy.Independently handle intake and service load with self-initiated consultation on diagnostic evaluation and treatment techniques.Participate in community presentations, training programs, and meetings.Direct activities of Addiction Counselors/Evaluators, support staff, and students as needed.Provide training to peer and new staff as required.Supervise counseling staff in the absence of the team manager and remain calm in crisis situations.Provide clinical backup for the Program Manager.Perform other functions as directed and have knowledge of OASAS regulations.About Us:Finger Lakes Area Counseling and Recovery Agency (FLACRA) is a growing, not-for-profit behavioral health and substance abuse treatment provider with decades of experience and multiple innovative programs located throughout the Finger Lakes Region.
