DNP-Nurse Anesthesia Program Faculty - Full Time/Part TimePosition Overview:The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis is actively searching for dynamic and forward-thinking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) with doctoral qualifications, who are enthusiastic about joining the School of Nursing Faculty. This opportunity is specifically tailored for individuals interested in contributing to the forthcoming hybrid Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)-Nurse Anesthesia degree program.The proposed DNP-Nurse Anesthesia degree program, under development, will help address a CRNA workforce gap in Northern California and throughout the state through collaborations with rural and underserved health systems. The founding faculty will be integral in the program's goals of establishing innovative partnerships with outside stakeholders as well as the UC Davis Medical Center. The program will also seek to establish pipelines for health care professionals from, and interested in, working in rural and underserved communities.As part of UC Davis, one of the world's top universities, the School of Nursing attracts likeminded faculty and student change agents interested in leading health care with a vision for optimal health and health care equity for all. Faculty, students, and staff promote health equity and high-quality care through innovative research, education, clinical practice, and health policy.Part-time and full-time, non-tenured positions at the assistant, associate, or full rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) or Clinical X Series are available at UC Davis Health, which is located on a modern, 140-acre campus in Sacramento, California. The Sacramento campus is home to the School of Nursing, School of Medicine, UC Davis Medical Center (including a level I trauma center and burn unit, and a full range of outpatient services), a fully accredited Children's Hospital, and an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.Applicants must meet all State of California licensure, board-certification, and experience requirements needed to successfully practice within the state. Faculty members in this program will follow a hybrid schedule, with requirements to be on-campus for set educational, administrative, and school obligations as stipulated per contract.TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties include course management, teaching, skills labs, student advisement, and student formative and summative evaluation. Responsibilities may also include participation in student remediation, test writing and analysis, program admissions, accreditation processes and program assessment to include serving on committees essential to the DNP-Nurse Anesthesia program and school's functioning.CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Successful full-time candidates provide clinical services in a local community setting approximately 20 percent of the time. The clinical placements may be at UC Davis Health or in an external community setting.This role includes direct patient care and precepting graduate CRNA students from the School of Nursing.The incumbent mentors students in the clinical setting.
