A regional, 100% employee-owned consulting firm is seeking a skilled Drainage Team Lead to join their Transportation Group to act as a technical and people leader for the local team. The ideal candidate will coordinate project execution and control for civil transportation projects, ensuring continuity of purpose within scope, budget, and time schedules from start-up through final design.This role can be based in Denver, Fort Collins, or Colorado Springs.Responsibilities:Conduct hydrology/hydraulic analysis for transportation, public site work, private site work, and flood control projects.Design drainage systems, including storm sewers, culverts, detention/water quality facilities, bridge deck drainage, river hydraulics, bridge hydraulics, and roadside ditches.Coordinate the design team's efforts to ensure accuracy and completeness.Perform design tasks and oversee the preparation of plans and details using AutoCAD/Microstation and/or Civil-3D/InRoads/OpenRoads.Develop erosion control and stormwater management plans.Write specifications, technical reports, and provide engineering support during construction.Serve as the lead drainage technical liaison with clients.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of drainage experienceProficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic computer programs, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, CUHP, SWMM, and SRH-2DExperience with local county and municipality projectsLicensed Colorado Professional Engineer or ability to obtain licensure within 6 monthsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Utah Department of Transportation, Colorado Department of Transportation, City and County of Denver, or MHFD (Mile High Flood District)Licensed Utah Professional EngineerExperience with 2D hydraulic modelingBridge scour revetment designKnowledge of geomorphology
