The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office is seeking a 2nd year or 3rd year 711 Law School Intern to explore the public sector. The intern will be assigned to the Traffic/Misdemeanor Division, working under the supervision of Assistant State’s Attorneys, the First Assistant State’s Attorney, and/or the State’s Attorney.Essential Functions:A successful candidate must be eager to learn and self-driven. Responsibilities include performing various legal services as outlined in Illinois Supreme Court Rule.Minimum Qualifications:Current law school student approved by the American Bar Association or recent graduate awaiting bar exam results.Eligibility requirements per Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711.Must have a 711 certification before undertaking duties.Proficiency in word processing and Microsoft Office.Knowledge of state and federal statutes, legal terminology, and court rules.Work Schedule:Hours: Less than 30 per week and less than 600 per year.Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.Location: Kendall County Court House, 807 W.
