Job Title : Dental AssistantJob Brief:Join our Del Mar, California dental practice as a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant. As a key team member, you'll contribute to exceptional patient care and ensure the smooth operation of our dental office. If you're a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for dentistry, apply for this rewarding position.Responsibilities:Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during dental procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort.Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for dental treatments, take dental X-rays, and maintain patient records and charts on the computer.Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols, maintain a clean and sterile environment, and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.Instrument Maintenance: Clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments, as well as order and maintain dental supplies.Patient Education: Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care guidelines.Administrative Tasks: assist with front office duties as needed.Skills Required:Dental Assisting Certification: Must be a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or have completed a Dental Assistant program.X-ray Certification: Possess X-ray certification.Cosmetic and implant dentistry knowledge is a plus.Digital dentistry knowledge is a plus.Infection Control Knowledge: Familiarity with infection control practices and OSHA regulations and have met CA required training hours.Dental Software Proficiency: Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., CurveHero) is a plus.Patient-Centric Approach: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients.Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to keep treatment areas and instruments organized.Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work cohesively within a dental team.Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.CPR Certification: Current CPR certification is needed.Desired Qualities:
