Co-lead, develop, and execute comprehensive and code-compliant design efforts for a variety of project typesParticipate during all phases of project delivery and design within project parametersPerform field surveys and evaluate existing interior spaceTake a lead role in programming client needs, conceptual design, space planning and design developmentResearch, recommend, and specify appropriate finishes, fixtures, and furnitureDevelop reflected ceiling plans and lighting layoutsIncorporate technical requirements including audio/video, acoustics, power, and data systems into the designClearly communicate design concepts via sketches, 3D models and color renderingsPrepare and co-lead client presentations in a variety of formatsInterface directly with clients, product representatives, furniture dealers, fabricators, multidisciplinary consultants, and general contractorsPrepare project design documentation and participate in execution of construction documentsAssist in various construction administration tasksOther related duties as assignedYour Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ownership and accountability for project- and firm-wide successAbility to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative team environmentKnowledge and experience in all phases of interior design / architectural project deliveryDesign creativity, aptitude, competence, and experienceThorough understanding of interior architectural concepts, spatial relationships, fundamental knowledge of building systems, and workplace conceptsAbility to research design - including trends, strategies, and related technologiesAdvanced Autodesk Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, 3D and other modeling software skills a mustAdvanced Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) skills a mustOffice 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills are highly desiredHand sketching and conceptual drawing/modeling skills a plusWorking knowledge of state and local building and fire codes related to interior environments, including accessibility a mustSustainable design experience, with a preference for hands-on LEED and/or WELL project participationFundamental understanding of corporate commercial real estate objectives a plusYour Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Interior Design or ArchitectureMinimum 5-8 years of experience working on interior design and/or architectural projects, with a primary focus on design for workplaces, commercial interiors, and tenant improvement projectsInterior Design Certification and WELL and/or LEED Accreditation strongly preferredCandidates must have legal working status in the U.S. as Huntsman will not be sponsoring work visas at this time.Compensation, Benefits, and Perks:
Compensation is based on relevant experience and qualifications.
