About the Team
Our New Verticals team — largely focused on our newer Grocery and Retail lines of business — is an iterative, motivated team with a lofty mission that we’re making incredible progress towards. Our vision is to deliver selection (from Sephora to Best Buy to your premium local grocery store), quality (like Pro Dashers trained to pick the best produce), and value (where affordability meets convenience) to our rapidly-growing customer base. There is no shortage of complex problems to solve. We need your help!About the Role
As a key member of our 10-person New Verticals design team, you will help mature our grocery and retail experiences and accelerate the growth of our business through solving some of our most interesting customer problems. You’ll quickly see how customer-driven we are and will be able to work with our research team and our customers regularly. You will balance a rapid pace of experimentation while holding a high bar for experience quality. You will steward our design system, collaborate across several teams, and execute a variety of smaller wins while defining and driving our long-term vision forward.You will report into the Head of New Verticals Design in our Consumer organization. This role is hybrid, meaning you’ll work 1-2 days from one of our Design hubs — Seattle, New York, or San Francisco — with the option to work from home the rest of the week.You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

You have experience leading new initiatives and achieving success in a team environment.You think of yourself as a craftsperson focused on quality, usually find yourself sweating over the lowest level of details and care about elevating the overall experience.You excel at storytelling and convey complex topics clearly and thoroughly to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.You use a first principles approach and aren’t afraid to try new things to create the future.
