Objective

As a CAD Draftsman, you will be responsible for translating conceptual designs, sketches, or specifications into precise and detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design software. Your work will serve as a critical component in the development, planning, and execution of various projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.Responsibilities

Drafting and Design: Create 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and plans based on project requirements, blueprints, or design specifications.CAD Software Operation: Proficiently use CAD software programs (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit,3D Lift Plan) to produce accurate drawings and models.Technical Documentation: Generate engineering and architectural drawings and lift plans.Dimensioning and Annotation: Add dimensions, annotations, symbols, and labels to drawings to convey essential information for manufacturing or construction.Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project objectives and quality standards.Revision Management: Keep track of design changes and revisions, updating drawings accordingly.Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.Material and Component Selection: Assist in selecting appropriate materials, components, and finishes based on design requirements and cost considerations.Cost Estimation: Contribute to cost estimation by providing accurate material and quantity data from drawings.File Management: Organize and maintain CAD files, adhering to naming conventions and version control.Training and Skill Development: Stay updated with the latest CAD software features and industry trends to enhance skills and productivity.Qualifications

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, with additional coursework or an associate degree in CAD technology or a related field being beneficial.CAD Proficiency: Strong proficiency in CAD software tools, with the ability to create complex 2D and 3D drawings.Technical Skills: Understanding of engineering and architectural principles, as well as knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and construction methods.Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in creating drawings.Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and convey technical information.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve design and drafting issues effectively.Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and software updates.Optional Qualifications:Certification: Certification in CAD software or related field can be an advantage.Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or internship can be valuable.
