This key leadership role is responsible for driving a u201cSafety Firstu201d manufacturing environment, fostering a high-performance work team culture, leading the operations team to the safe and productive execution of the daily production plan across the Global Operations Team for the Diagnostics Segment, and ensuring cost targets are met. This role reports directly to the VP/GM of the Diagnostics Segment. nnResponsibilitiesnn Serves as the Leader for the entire Richmond Operations facility, and the Global Diagnostics Operation team.n Attracts and develops best-in-class operations talent.n Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the Companyu2019s productivity and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.n Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.n Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.n Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.n Oversees manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain departments, ensuring each is reaching goals set by departmental and company leadership.n Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of sales in each segment to achieve financial objectives.n Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.n Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.n Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations, engineering, technology, and customer service divisions to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.n Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.n Performs other related duties as assigned.nnQualificationsnQualifications:nn Bacheloru2019s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field requiredn MBA is strongly preferredn 10 years of progressive operations experience in a manufacturing setting.
