We are committed to providing you with:Highly competitive wagesAn exceptional benefit plan for eligible associates & your family membersRSP/401K matching program for eligible associatesDiscounts with our Crescent managed properties in North America for you & your family membersIHG Hotels discount domestic and international locations for you and your family memberHere is what you will be doing each day:As our Staff Accountant at the Holiday Inn San Jose Silicon Valley , you will be responsible for the day to day accounting processes of the business and the emphasis is placed on the management of Accounts Payable, General Cashier and Income Audit.RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with financial statement preparation, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable processing, daily revenue and cash reconciliations and other related finance projects.Review all ledger account reconciliations to include bank statements, assets, liabilities, and credit cards. Coordinate and review monthly financial statements for accuracy. Monitor coding of cash receipts.Direct and supervise performance of accounting, auditing and cashiering associates including maintenance of payroll records.Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.Prepare all operational budgets and forecasts with general manager, department heads, and controller.Distribute all financial statements and month end reports to ownership, management company, and department heads.Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:2 + years of progressive experience in Accounting Management, preferably in a hotel setting.Previous leadership experience overseeing a team.Computer literacy and the ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel and working knowledge of Opera, BirchStreet Systems preferred.
