$23.00 to $28.50/hourThe Masons of California is looking for a highly competent security officer to join our team to monitor the premises and protect our valued staff, visitors, and inventory. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience as a security officer or guard and training in first aid. They will have a sharp eye and quick reaction time to detect suspicious or criminal behaviors and prevent theft or vandalism.We rely upon you to protect, safeguard, and secure assets, personnel, customers, tenants, visitors, and property on our grounds.Responsibilities
Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, perimeter, parking garage, and Park to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secureMonitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the propertyMonitor surveillance cameras and respond to all disruptions or unlawful actsWrite reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards, and other security-related situations to the supervisor for correction or follow-up actionsUse the surveillance system to retrieve footage and provide it to building management and local authoritiesRespond to suspicious persons, vandalism, or hazardsRespond to alarms and distress callsAssist building management in responding to elevator emergenciesEscort vendors through premises as directed by building managementActivate and deactivate alarms as scheduled and instructedEnsure all security systems, like burglar alarms and CCTV, are working properlyAssist staff and visitorsAssist garage operators and parking garage customersControl traffic by directing driversUse provided communication devices such as cell phones and two-way radios, responding concisely and professionally to calls and text messagesWork overtime with a flexible schedule to cover extra shiftsPerform CPR or first aid when neededPerform other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities: Education and Experience: Physical Requirements:
