OverviewThis position is a fully remote position within the USA, however, some travel to Memphis, TN will be expected. The ideal work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm CST.

ResponsibilitiesOur Information Technology (IT) department is seeking a passionate individual to join our high-performing team as a Salesforce Business Analyst. Working on the Youth Villages’ IT team means collaborating with purpose-driven people on high-impact projects and products, making a direct impact on the youth and families who need us the most.

This position will support the ongoing development of our Salesforce deployment.

The Analyst will work closely with another Salesforce Analyst, functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, deploy, and support business processes including fundraising/development, mentoring, volunteers, business development, and operational programs. This role is part technical project manager, part administrator, and part business analyst. The Salesforce Business Analyst will be responsible for executing the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of the platform. They will also work on special projects as requested by the Director, CIO, and other members of the leadership team, as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The person in this role will work closely with the Director, senior leadership, and departments to:

Provide technical support to users via the organization’s help desk tracking system

Handle basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks

Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades

Manage Salesforce data feeds and other integrations

Work with end users to gather, understand, and define business requirements

Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization

Facilitate testing of new Salesforce functionality rollouts

Produce functional, technical and system design documentation

Provide expert support to end users in managing system and process changes

Serve as system administrator for the Salesforce environment

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The candidate must also be a self-motivated and hard-working individual who is willing to be flexible in a fast-paced environment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, IT Management, or related field strongly preferred or equivalent experience

3+ years of Salesforce experience, preferably at a non-profit, in lieu of degree is acceptable

Salesforce Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certification preferred

Relevant Experience:

2+ years of experience as a Salesforce administrator or Salesforce analyst

Experience with non-profit(s) strongly preferred

Relevant Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes

Strong understanding of Salesforce, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity

Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption

Excellent project and time management skills and a positive attitude

Proven ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally, upwards, and external vendors

Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and work with a diverse team
