Description
Our Enterprise Justice business unit seeks an experienced Product Owner to help us continue building and maintaining our market-leading case management system. You will join a multi-disciplinary team that will help you get up to speed quickly. This opportunity will allow the right candidate to influence high-impact, broad-reaching decisions that will positively impact our industry and society.
Note: This is a hybrid position which requires the new hire to work out of the Plano office at least 2x per week.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate the impact of projects and defect fixes to maximize the team's short-term and long-term impact.Research market problems and design solutions.Prioritize the problems to solve and curate a refined backlog of prioritized work.Create detailed and easy-to-read software requirements, which may include user stories, use cases, flowcharts, etc.Act as a liaison between end users, project teams, client executives, and other stakeholders in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance to ensure optimal operational performance.Participate in the demonstration and training of functionality for stakeholders.Consistently attend scrum ceremonies (daily standup meetings, sprint planning, story workshops, sprint retrospectives).Balance the need to deliver value with a budget and competing priorities.Earn the respect of your team, stakeholders, and the organization to gain support for your decisions.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field is strongly preferred.Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proven experience creating user stories, use cases, process flows, wireframes, and mockups.Understanding of software design principles, especially user-centered design.Understanding of the software development life cycle, especially agile methodologies.Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who takes the initiative and proactively offers suggestions and resolutions.Be decisive and willing to say "no" to good ideas to deliver great ideas.Experience with design tools like Figma, Visio, Axure, or Adobe XD is a plus.Familiarity with Jira or equivalent software.
