The Inpatient Dietitian Specialist serves as part of the inpatient dietitian team at LA General Medical Center. This dietitian provides coverage to critical care units with primary coverage in the Burn and Neuro ICUs. The dietitian will provide cross-coverage as needed in the other high acuity areas and Med/Surg units. Some weekends/holidays required. CNSC required.Job Summary

Dietitian Specialist
to join our Nutrition Team.Key Responsibilities:Provides/Lead nutrition services in identified specialty area for a minimum of 70% of workload/responsibilities. Specialty areas include NICU, bariatric, renal, cardiac, diabetes, nutrition support, pediatrics, oncology, transplant, geriatrics, and outpatient services. Assesses the nutritional status of patients/residents through documentation in the medical recordTrains and mentors patient/resident services staff and interns as applicableFosters teamwork and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs which lead to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomesComplies with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient/resident rights policiesParticipates in patient/resident satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programsQualifications:Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board, in states where requiredTwo (2) years of experience in the area of specialty requiredSpecialty certification when applicablePossess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programmingApply to Morrison Healthcare today!Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
