The company designs and delivers comprehensive procurement and solar investment solutions for businesses, municipalities, and institutions empowering them to achieve their sustainability goals and positively impact their community.NCS is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team and assist with the company's accounting and financial reporting operations. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will support the Accounting team by performing and coordinating accounting duties within the Company's portfolio of operating assets. The Staff Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with close processes, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. The Staff Accountant will also be assisting the Senior Accountant as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes. To be successful as Staff Accountant, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). An outstanding Staff Accountant should also have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accountsPreparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processesContributing to the development and review of annual operating budgetsMaintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasuryPerforming monthly balance sheet reconciliationsMeeting processing and reporting deadlinesResponding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with auditsEnsuring compliance with GAAPAssisting the accounting manager as neededRequirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance1-2 years of accounting experience preferredWorking knowledge of GAAPWorking knowledge of with Microsoft Excel & WordStrong numeracy and analytical skillsGood problem-solving and time management skillsHighly organized and detail orientedFull-time availabilityVaccinated and boosted for COVID-19Must be able to legally work in the U.S.Preferred Experience:

1-2 years of accounting experienceWorking knowledge of GAAPStrong verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of cash and accrual and multi-entity accountingBasic understanding of solar technology
