Successful applicants will bring deep experience developing, implementing, and maintaining hardware and software solutions for protection of critical mission technology, knowledge and experience with secure hardware design and integration, a strong collaborative spirit, experience successfully mentoring junior team members, superior problem solving skills, a passion for security and data protection, and a clear focus on supporting customer needs.Responsibilities

Derive system level requirements into component and subsystem requirements identifying hardware details for integrating security controlsIdentify, review, and define security requirements that enable technical Architects / Systems Engineers and SMEs the ability to secure hardware and software productsMaintain a comprehensive and holistic Systems Security Engineering (SSE) view while addressing stakeholder security risks and concerns through the application of Systems Engineering skillsCreate a culture of Security that implements security from the beginning of a program's development and supports the implementation of security by defaultCommunicates with Chief Engineers and Program Managers (PMs) the needs of the Security Engineering team and supports the development process, working with the engineering organization to identify Security Engineering issues and flaws that need to be remediatedFacilitate briefings to senior leadership and SMEs on program protection and security policy, guidance, and expectation in the area of Hardware Security EngineeringProvide and communicate understanding of both the technical and programmatic aspects of a project to the project team as well as the customerEnsure the effectiveness and suitability of the security elements within the systems as an enabler to mission successDesign and develop detailed security designs using recognized practices such as Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and processesDevelop, review, and recommend security policy, guidance, training, and best practices that align its implementation across the mission acquisition lifecycleReview and provide recommendations on Program Protection Plans (PPPs) and other acquisition and requirements documentation oversight for appropriate inclusion and application of SSE policy and guidanceDevelop and execute to an SSE Plan containing a path to creating Threat Countermeasure Tree AnalysisEfficiently learn new subjects / techniques / software, without, necessarily, the assistance of othersHave a track record of highly collaborative working skills in a team environmentWrite clear and concise reportsUtilize and develop mathematical software toolsInterface with PMs, Mission Assurance Managers (MAMs), Program Engineers, and customersUse strong presentation skills to convey security mission risks at program milestone reviewsParticipate as a member of the Mission Assurance (MA) team to select, evaluate, and document security requirements for various missions including space, military, and airborneSupport other tasks and areas of subject matter expertise, to include the Trusted & Assured Microelectronics (T&AM) program, Anti-Tamper, and Software Security Assurance, with Design Engineering subject matter expertise as requiredMaintain a regular and predictable work scheduleEstablish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environmentOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience performing related dutiesA current, active TS/SCI security clearance is requiredDemonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, solid communication and presentation skills, and ability to lead group discussionsDepartment of Defense (DoD) / Intelligence Community (IC) experience – demonstrated understanding of how engineering and security work within the DoD / ICSecure hardware integration experience (hardened memory, secure FPGA/SOC/ASIC, PCB layout, etc.)Proven work experience designing and integrating hardware security solutionsDemonstrated understanding of hardware design impacts to firmware, gateware, and softwareExperience developing threat analysisA Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related fieldAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearanceDemonstrated attention to detailGood verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications
