We are seeking an experienced A/V Senior Field Engineer to join our team. This role requires a professional with substantial expertise in commissioning, installation, and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) systems, such as Biamp and QSC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AV integration, with the ability to manage projects from design through final inspection.
Primary Responsibilities:
Comprehend advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
Test, commission, and operate a variety of AV systems and equipment.
Ensure the quality of AV installations meets consultant specifications or industry standards.
Troubleshoot and configure AV equipment, including media control systems (Crestron & Extron), DSPs (Biamp & QSC), matrix mixers, switchers, and codecs.
Work alongside programmers to troubleshoot, debug, and test programming.
Configure IP addressable devices such as routers, switches, and servers.
Lead on-site installation teams and subcontractors to complete punch list items.
Provide close-out documentation, including as-builts, IP tables, and other relevant items.
Interact with clients in a professional, customer service-oriented manner.
Train clients on how to use AV systems, troubleshoot, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering or technical position with an AV integration firm, preferably with design and installation responsibilities.
AVIXA certification as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D).
Current technical certifications from major AV equipment manufacturers, such as Crestron (NVX, DMC-E), Extron, Biamp, QSC, Dante, or similar manufacturers.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Travel:
Some domestic travel is required.
