Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company has a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor/Planner role open in the Liquid Packaging operations in Longview, Washington.Key Functions:Planner:

Plans upcoming weekly work between operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors.Works with operations leaders and other maintenance team members to prioritize work orders in queue for planning, scheduling, and execution.Maintains a three-week look-ahead on planned and ready work.Runs all scheduling meetings, including weekly and shutdown work.Controls the backlog of work notifications (work requests) and work orders.Creates detailed Gantt schedules using MS – Project for all shutdown work.Supervision:

Provide front-line supervision for production area mechanical maintenance team.Schedule and execute maintenance work to ensure maximum reliability of all equipment.Inspect work in progress to ensure high quality of finished jobs.Maintain and improve the preventive/predictive maintenance system.Develop the capability of maintenance teams to achieve business results.Work with area planner or area supervisor to provide a high percentage of planned and scheduled work.Support facilitation of team and safety meetings.Facilitate resolution of team issues that may arise.Promote development and compliance with safe work practices.Participate in maintenance budgeting and department strategic business planning.Requirements:Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and OSHA regulations.Trades qualifications in related mechanical trade such as millwright or mechanical engineering degree.Knowledge and demonstrated skill in performing Precision Maintenance.Computer knowledge or skills to learn key aspects of maintenance management information system (SAP knowledge preferred).Prior scheduling experience preferred, especially with MS-Project.Minimum of 2 years of experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings.Excellent planning and organizing abilities.Exceptional communication skills: written, oral, and listening.Ability to lead problem solving and analyze results of mechanical maintenance repairs.Paper/Pulp Mill industry background is highly desirable.About Nippon Dynawave Packaging in Longview, WA:The Longview Liquid Packaging facility produces bleached paperboard used to make cartons and cups for liquids such as milk, juice, coffee, and sake.
