Our unit boasts a unique setup, including our 12-bed designated Brain Rescue Unit (BRU), a 6-bed Neurosurgical Intermediate Care Unit, and a 14-bed step-down unit. The 12-bed BRU has earned the Joint Commission-Advanced Certification and is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you are a valued member of our team and play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care to patients undergoing a diverse range of procedures and surgeries including craniotomies, shunts, spinal fusions, aneurysm clippings/coiling, and more! At Johns Hopkins, our Department of Neurosciences stands at the forefront of groundbreaking treatments. As an RN on 12 West, you'll have the opportunity to care for a broad spectrum of patients grappling with neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s, myasthenia gravis, MS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, ALS, and more.Our team and patient population reflect diversity in every aspect.
