Job Description

Title: Die Engineer Manager

Location: Detroit, MI

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $100-160K/YR

Must have: Experience to hot stamping processes

Job Duties:Uphold the company's mission, vision, and values in daily activities.Contribute key insights to the development of departmental strategic goals and identify measurable metrics to support these goals.Assist the Program Launch team with new tool tryouts and other scheduled activities.Collaborate with other departments to enhance efficiency and throughput.Stabilize processes by identifying root causes of issues and implementing corrective actions.Recommend and assess the feasibility of incorporating new technology. Ensure all quoted and/or released products to the plant are feasible, with achievable rates, crew sizes, and performance metrics.Guide the design, development, and testing of die methods, materials, and processes.Troubleshoot and communicate die concerns to Tool & Die supervisors and/or managers.Interface with customers, contractors, and die build shops as necessary.Determine and document proper processing parameters and assist in auditing them.Prioritize and implement cost reduction projects while maintaining detailed documentation.Lead training activities on die principles and practices for die leaders.Communicate material concerns, such as circle grid and material certification, to the Materials department.Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, Master's Degree preferred.Minimum of eight (8) or more years related technical, hands on experienceBackground in engineering and building dies.Proficient in troubleshooting and correcting work flow problems.Knowledge of standard quality practices.Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.CAD experience (UG, Catia, AutoCad Desktop etc).Meet Your Recruiter
