As the Senior Director of Software Development for Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX) and Los Angeles Site Lead, you will guide the technology organization to elevate the ACX platform globally. In this essential leadership role, you’ll build a skilled team devoted to rapidly delivering innovative systems that serve creative partners worldwide.Collaborating with cross-functional leaders across regions, you’ll shape a technical vision and roadmap to transform the ACX experience at scale. Instilling engineering best practices for excellence and speed will be critical. Key priorities include spurring innovation, attracting and retaining expert talent, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and fostering a thriving LA Hub. With the customer journey and significant business growth top of mind, you’ll steer complex initiatives and motivate your reports to embody Audible’s people-first ethos. 10+ years of industry experience in software development5+ years of hands-on software development experience in object-oriented design, coding and highly scalable, available and low latency web services5+ years of experience driving new feature prioritization, development, and delivery5+ years of experience managing software engineering teams and developing technical direct reports (performance review communication, accountability, motivation/engagement)
